Hi... I am Giuseppe the operator of this
tour; from 1946 born & grown in Africa by a
Somali mother & Italian father, with 6 Euro-African
expressible languages, some like my English which you are
going through in this moment, I know it's very badly
incorrect, but I hope to make me understand and if you
want I would appreciate your corrections. The other languages that I speak naturally are Italian and Somali in addition a communicable Arabic and Swahili plus a rather pushy German and French.
Anyhow concerning the present subject: while getting drifted from Somalia in exodus and on my way facing
a lot of surviving struggle from country to country, suddenly I found
myself in the middle of overlanders, at Nairobi City Park
of the 70's for 5 years camping with my
little roasty-toasty kiosk where I gained more and more of
traveling freedom to the point of my present professional
knowledge. Specially after my endless trips as guide and organizer with tourist groups between Europe and Africa
including my last adventure solitary cycling from
Switzerland Across Africa to Kenya, on my 59 years of age.
It is an experience which made me See, Reason &
Love in all the senses my "Motherland AFRICA",
That's why my experience led me establishing this kind of overland soft-adventure tours to those of us no longer young bracket.
The way I perceive Africa & the Africans it's beyond publicity
and it could never correspond to a business trained crew
concept. I don't see it as a zoo like the media &
tourism idioms,
no please ! there's widely much
more worth to see ...from the cradle of mankind to the
unique "Africa High Life", but only with your
enchantment... you'll have fun and talent on whatever you
do.
PERHAPS... if you are a bit hesitant due to media reports
on problem spots in Africa; as responsible I would like
to ease your mind...Africa is not without its problems,
but I am very selective about where and when to travel; it's an awesome
continent and not nearly as unsafe and scary as many of
the press reports would have you think. Come and take the much of photo's you want but leave your footprints in Africa with blessings
Please let me say that; My aim is not only to maintain
this "mal d'Africa" sick for Africa: but I
have an inborn message, it sound's funny, but I really
want to hook Africa in your senses as a new manner of "seeing" Africa as the Africans.
By the way;
for those that have been in Nairobi City-Park Camping in 1970/75 my nickname is Pippo, Please knock-knock my déjà-vue. Mailto: admin@overlandtravel.com
