CIRCUIT OF 11 DAYS IN MALI


I T I N E R A R Y :

Jour 1 : Arrival Bamako
P.M.: Upon arrival at Bamako Senou airport, you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel.


Jour 2 : Bamako - Ségou
A.M.: After breakfast, we explore Bamako City: panoramic overview of the city from Point G, the national Museum, the city market, the artisans and antiquarys’ villages where sculptors, weavers, leather workers, jewelers and metal workers exhibityour wares and skills.
P.M.: After lunch drive to Ségou at 235 km, one of Mali's largest cities and former colonial administrative center; admire the beautiful Sudanese-style colonial architecture, traditional weavers and other artisans; see the tomb of King Biton Coulibaly; wander along the Niger river to visit mud clothes (Bogolan) fabric. Dinner and overnight in Ségou.
Jour 3 : Ségou - Mopti
After breakfast, short visit of Ségou (visit Sekoro village meaning “the old Ségou”, local brewery, Sudanese-style colonial architecture). Depart to Mopti, stop and lunch in San , Bobo capital city.
P.M.: Arrive San, dinner and overnight in Mopti.


Jour 4 : Mopti - Tombouctou
A.M.: After breakfast, drive to the legendary Timbuktu via Douentzan, lunch en route.
P.M.: Arrive Timbuktu, check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Timbuktu.
Jour 5 : Timbuktu
A.M.: Breakfast then Timbuktu city tour ( the mosques, the old city, explorers houses, the manuscript center), lunch in Timbuktu.
P.M: Camel ride to visit Tuareg camp, dinner and overnight in Timbuktu.


Jour 6 : Timbuktu - Mopti
A.M.: Depart Timbuktu to Mopti, lunch en route.
P.M.: Arrive Mopti and check into your hotel, dinner and overnight in Mopti.
Jour 7 : Mopti - Djenné
A.M.: Depart Mopti to Djenné, arrive Djenné, installation and tour of Djenné city: the famous big mosque, coranic schools etc…); dinner and overnight in Djenné.


Jour 8 : Djenné - Sanhgha
A.M.: Breakfast then short tour of Djenné market; after lunch drive to Dogon country via Songho a Dogon village, reknown for its rock paintings and circumcision grotto.
P.M.: Arrive Sangha, installation at the campement, dinner and overnight in Sangha.


Jour 9 : Sangha
A.M.: Dogon villages visit, have lunch in a village.
P.M.: Return to Sangha, dinner and overnight in Sangha.


Jour 10 : Sangha - Ségou
A.M.: Depart Sangha to Ségou, stop and have lunch in San.
P.M.: Arrive Ségou, installation, dinner and overnight in Ségou.
Jour 11 : Ségou - Bamako
A.M.: Cruise on the river to visit a Bambara village named (Kalabougou) known for its pottery. Lunch in Ségou.
P.M.: Drive to Bamako, once arrived you will get ready for your home departure. End of your trip.
