I T I N E R A R Y :
Day 1 : Bamako
P.M.: Upon arrival at Bamako airport, you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2 : Bamako - Mopti
A.M.: Breakfast then drive to Mopti, short tour of Ségou: Sekoro the old district, the local brewery, the colonial Soudanese style houses etc…Stop and lunch in San en route to Mopti.
P.M.: Upon arrival in Mopti, dinner and overnight in Mopti. |

Day 3 : Mopti - Timbuktu
A.M.: Breakfast then drive via Douentzan to Timbuktu, the legendary city, picnic lunch en route.
P.M.: Arrival in Timbuktu, check into your hotel, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 4 : Timbuktu
A.M.: After breakfast, Timbuktu city tour: Wander the dusty streets of Timbuktu to visit former universities, the museum and archives of ancient Islamic manuscripts, the city market and the artisans' center, admiring such magnificent mud-brick structures as the Djinguiraiber Mosque, the Mosque of Sankore, and the Palace of Bouctou. See the houses of the various 19th century European explorers who used Timbuktu as a base. Lunch in town.
In the afternoon, depart on your camel caravan into the desert to visit a Tuareg camp; the Tuareg people are known as the Princes of the desert; dinner and overnight Timbuktu. |

Day 5 : Timbuktu - Mopti
A.M.: Drive back and crooss the unforgiveness Desert to Mopti, picnic lunch en route
P.M.: Arrival in Mopti, check into your hotel and overnight in Mopti.
Day 6 : Mopti - Djenné
A.M: Mopti city tour (you will see the fascinating mix of Malian cultures: Bambara, Bobo, Bozo, Dogon, Fulani, Tuareg, Songhaď and Hausa): visit the beautiful mosque, the fishing port and the bustling market, where you can shop for gold or silver jewelry, Tuareg leatherwork, or Fulani blankets of cotton or wool.
P.M.: Lunch in Mopti and then drive to Djenné, visit: the big mosque, the coranic schools etc…

Day 7 : Djenné - Sangha
A.M.: Visit djenné on its weekly market da, lunch and then drive to the the fascinating Dogon country, stop in Songho, reknown for its rock paintings and circumcision grotto. Picnic lunch.
P.M.: Short walking tour of Sangha: the two districts of Sangha named Hogol du Haut and Hogol du bas, the fox table. Dinner and overnight in Sangha.
Day 8 : Sangha
A.M.: Dogon villages visit, have lunch in a village.
P.M.: Return to Sangha, dinner and overnight in Sangha. |

Day 9 : Sangha - Bamako
A.M.: Depart sangha to Bamak, lnch in Ségou.
P.M: upon arrival check into your school , dinner and overnight in Bamako.
Day 10 : Bamako - Dakar
A.M.: Breakfast then bamako city tour: the national museum, a panoramic overview of the city, the craft center, the market.
P.M.: Fly Bamako to Dakar, capital city of Senegal where you will be met, assisted by a team of Balanzan Tours. Transfer to your hotel or an auberge have dinner according to your arrival time. |

Day 11 : Dakar – Kédougou (700 km)
A.M.: Early breakfast then drive to eastern Senegal. Lunch in Kaolack or in Kaffrine.
P.M.: Arrive at a village of Kédougou late in the evening, establish in a campement to relax. Dinner and overnight at the campement. |

Day 12 : Fouta Djalon hills (20 km)
Breakfast and visit Kédougou market exchange croossroads where Senegalese, guinean and malian merchants are meeting.
Transfer by vehicle (local transportation or 4WD) on the unpaved road going to the Fulani country middle, arrive at a nestled village located on the Gambia river banks, on the first hills shaping Fouta Djalon foothills. Have lunch on the river banks then visit villages and meet the inhabitants. Dinner and overnight in the traditional huts or in the double tents. |

Days 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17: Walking tour of the Fulani villages of Fouta Djalon
The walking tour of different villages located between the hills will enable you to grasp some main ideas on Fulani people life and custom being one of the most mysterious of West Africa.
Take for a walk in the rich and varied vegetation and in typical villages.
This is an opportunity for you to discover quietly the activities, history and traditional rites of this area population of Senegal (musik and tales, craft center, plantation, organisation and village way of life).
You will enjoy the area quiet, the waterfall freshness and the countryside beauty. This place is appreciated for its authencity, the meeting richness and the rythm of villagers’ night festivities.
Hot picnic meals and overnight in bivouac or in traditional.
Drive to Tambacounda and overnight in a campement. |

Day 18 :
Early Breakfast then visit by vehicle the surrounding villages along the Gambia river.
Discover the Fulani ethnic group of the Gambia and the Sarakholé one. See en route many birds and other animals.
Dinner and overnight at your campement. |

Day 19 : Route de Tambacounda vers Dakar (450 km)
Have an early breakfast then drive to Dakar, have lunch en route.
Arrive Dakar late in the afternoon, dinner and overnight at a hotel or an auberge.
Day 20 : Retour de Dakar
A.M.: Breakfast then visit Dakar city tour: the museum, the port, the market etc….
P.M. Lunch in town, drive the Islands, once back we get ready for your home departure. Transfer to the airport and end of your trip. |
